Beware of ADT Scam/Thiefs

Yesterday evening, a gentlemen claiming he was from ADT came up to my house trying to sell me ADT insurance.
I knew the guy was not from ADT since he did not have proof of identification nor does ADT do sale calls door to door.
The man was driving an unmarked white van and was acting quite nervous.
I just wanted to pass this info along in case it is of help to any other home owners in the area.
Based on a quick research, I found out that this has been happening across the country in order to rob and break into people's homes.
I will be keeping my eyes open for any further activity.
