The Crawford High School Cross Country Team is making local headlines. The team has won the City League Championship in 2016 and the girls' team placed 3rd. The team, like the school's population, is composed of athletes from Congo, Tanzania, Uganda, Mexico, Thailand, Somalia, Vietnam, Sudan, Eritrea, among others. Many are refugees who have found that running has given them a new sense of hope. You can occasionally see the team training on Chollas Lake Park trails and running down 54th Street in the afternoons. Watch their touching story on a recent Fox5 News report.
