The Humane Society of the US, has a clinic at 4830 Village Fair Dr (NW corner of Interstate 35 and Ledbetter Drive). To you old timers, it is the old Red Lobster restaurant building. The telephone number is 214-372-9999. They perform neutering and spay operations on dogs and cats by appointment only, so give them a call. They are open Wednesday through Saturday and provide
walk-in service for minor injuries, vaccinations for rabies, etc., heart worm treatment, and other services. There is a vet on duty.

Charges for these services are much less than you get at your local veterinary clinic, starting at $5.00 for a visit.
