Oakcliff Church of the
Nazarene
59th & Shalimar Drive
PLAYGROUND DEDICATION
On July 29th, the Oakcliff NazareneChurch had a special Dedication of abeautiful playground for the school agechildren of Oakcliff. Several people fromthe neighborhood, and a few of theofficers, came to the dedication. It wasvery moving and included a video of theway it was done. This is a really specialplayground. Oakcliff would like to thankPastor Mike Meeks and the members ofthe Oakcliff Nazarene Church for thisgreat addition to our neighborhood.
If you haven?’t seen it just drop by 59thand Shalimar.
Special Thanks for a job well done!
------------------------------------------------
We are doing really well on the gateway at 59th & Shalimar ?– WOW does it look good!Special thanks to the Oakcliff Church of theNazarene and Jason & Penny Kang for allthe hard work!
44th & Shalimar is coming along also, still having a weed issue and the trash that some people like to leave as they enter or exit the neighborhood. A special thanks to the neighbors on both sides for watering and keeping the plants so pretty, Hondo for mowing and Michelle & Chris for weeding and cleaning up.
One of our neighbors, Alan Jones with A & W Lawn Service, would like to get Parker & Bryant in shape. He had graciously offered to do the medians on Parker as long as he lives in the addition. This is our largest gateway and maybe the most traveled. He will mow, edge, and weed. We would need others to pick up litter as you see it. Please volunteer or just pick up trash when you see it.
This neighborhood is the responsibility of all of us ?– if you see trash ?– pick it up. If you see weeds ?– pull them. Let?’s make Oakcliff a nice place to live. Take a look on some of the streets that have had a ?“Yard of the Month?”,there is a beautiful improvement going on.There is a section of Evanbrook that is as pretty as anywhere in the city.
Just a note: A ?“Yard of the Month?” sign will not be left unless the owners are home to say it is okay to put it in the yard.
