Pool Rules

Posted in: Creekside Village
My family has lived in Creekside Village since 1999 and have not had any complaints about our neighborhood until today.

My husband and I were at the pool with our children and was harrased and humilitated by our neighboorhood association's president. He informed us that the pool rules prohibit beer/alcohol in the pool area. My husband asked where that rule was stated on the pool rules board. Mr Whitman, the president, became enraged and told us that he would have our family ''thrown out'' of the pool area.

Not only was his behavior uncalled for, but that rule is not stated on the pool rules board. Furthermore, I am totally insulted that as a responsible adult, I cannot enjoy my pool without being treated as if I live in an apartment complex! I am a homeowner and I follow the rules of this neighborhood association and for Mr. Whitman to humiliate us in front of our children and our neighbors is apalling!

He should to be reprimanded and counseled on how to handle situations or ''thrown out'' of the association.

At this point, we are seriously considering checking into what avenues are available and which to take against Mr. Whitman.

concerns

Please come to the annual meeting to address this and other problems. Many people have suggestion and complaints but no one seems to want to do anything about them. Tom Whitman works hard, but needs our help. Please come to the annual meeting with your comments, concerns and suggestions so that we can all work together to improve our property.

Thank you.

Please tell me if I am wrong?

My family is living in this neighborhood since 97 and I have never experienced anything like this. I was swimming with my little nephew in the neighborhood pool, and all the sudden, an old man driving a red dodge/Chrysler van approached us and made a very very mean remark.   " You guys CANT read?."  I asked him what happened?  He responded in a very mean tone that we are not allow to park your bike in the pool area and there are signs everywhere. At that time, I told my nephew to bring his bike outside and also told the the guy I apologized for not reading the rules carefully but what you were saying to us is very mean. He got mad and said " I am kicking you out of the pool of talk back". We left the pool because I don't want any confrontation. I've asked for his name (more than 3 times)  before we left, but he dint give it to me. He said that he had kick 7 people out of the pool for not having pool card, and if i want to know go to the meeting in October. Don't you think he's mean? and Does anyone know who he was?

We have lived here for the past nine years and the neighborhood keeps getting better and better.  We have replaced the manager and that seems to have fixed most of the problems in the appearance and atmosphere of the community.  We still have a few neighbors who refuse to treat their weeds and edge, but everyone is slowly but surely coming around to seeing that their yard affects the appearance of the entire community.  As for the pool, things have improved drastically! Cool  Creekside Village is a very diverse community in culture and our annual picnic by the pool has really been a nice time for everyone to get to know their neighbors.  Thanks for all the hard work the the HOA does!!  It really show.
