Should renters be obligated to maintain the property in which they are renting? Well of course  they should be obligated, but why arent they following through with this obligation. I have seen several properties that are being rented, and the yard and homes are just in shambles. This has been brought to the attention of the HOA but as you can see the end result......Frown

My neighborhood is not online but I'm curious as to whether or not anyone has been able to get anywhere with this situation.  We have two rental properties near us and they are horrible. Parking in the grass, front yard barbecues. . the works!  We're in a PUD which makes everything that much harder but our property management company does NOTHING and the HOA is even harder to get through to.

Well  you can always call the city 311, and just continue to call your property management company, because after all they work for you and all the neighbors that contribute. You can  also try to contact the owner of the property, maybe even send them a letter of concern as to how the property is being maintained. Are HOA is pretty much on the ball with situations like this, I'm pretty sure there are alot of complaints and they are handled accordingly. Somtimes it's a slow process but it usually gets results. I hope this information is helpful to you, and everything works out. Have a great and safe summer.
