So you want me to be a member of the association.I do not SEE what you really DO ! The cats and dogs are rampant. That is illegal. We do not need a restriction for that yet you can not get THAT inforced. So do I take your restriction thing seriously ? HECK NO .
Junk cars ARE parked but I guess all you need is to put a tag and insurance on it and bam ,you can now have a JUNK car!!! NEVER mind it has never been running since it was brought here from god knows where.AND by all means YES LET US ALL water our yards in the middle of the day even if it is raining!!!Yes your yard is beautifull but will we have drinking water NEXT year? Yard of the MONTH how about XEROSCAPE yard of the month? Why pay the water bill for the water HOGS! I do not care if you have a well ,it still comes from FLORIDA.

Rosetta,

An excellent post. You have addressed some of the concerns and emphasizes of the Homeowner?’s meeting topics. As you are aware, the Homeowner?’s Association is primarily responsible for the Social Activities in our community. Having it?’s roots founded circa 1959, it has been the forum to pool our resources, communicate ideas and create a source of leverage and coordination to assist in the efforts of our community services, such as the Sheriff?’s Office, Code Enforcement, Waste Management, County Planning, Utilities, and Political Representation. It is not the effort of a few, rather, the combined efforts of all those participating. From organizing Kids Parties around the Holidays to welcoming new comers and New Years Eve parties for Adults, peppered with involvement in Citizens Action Committees, Imagine Manatee, County Commission Representation, Green Ways, Quality Committee Teams and Adopt-A-Road, all crucial to preserving the richness of our community.

I commend you for taking the first two steps, being a member and having concerns. Now to solve the dilemma of, ?“I do not SEE what you really DO!?” I would suggest that you attend a few meetings, be there to see and maybe get involved to be part of the solution. Any one can sit in judgment of others and let opportunity pass them by. The Xeroscape issue was discussed, yet no one would make the motion to enact recognition. One person would have made a difference at that particular meeting. Where were you? Maybe the guest speaker at the next meeting can shed some light on the water issues that should be a high priority for all Floridians, natural, transplant, or temporary.
