Just ate at the new Garland Thai restaurant (brand at beltline. Wow! We were impressed, fresh food well done and it is very nice inside - upscale feel with an affordable menu. We met the GM - Sean and they may be open late for New Years too...check it out!www.panyus.com 

We ate there also on the opening night last Sat. It is trendy, fresh, zen like and a total change from the chain restaurants an drive by's of Garland. Loved it. Thanks for posting.

I do agree that the restaurant does look nice inside and you can tell they definiteley are trying to set themselves apart from other asian food restaurants in the area. However I did have a good friend from the neighborhood who lives on Meadow Park Dr. who inquired about a job there so he was directed to speak with the G.M. Sean and he said that he was quickly shot down and told that they weren't hiring. He wasn't even given a chance to fill out an application! In the end, he was falsely told by Sean to check back in February because they weren't going to open until then. Imagine my surprise when they opened up a week after my friend told me about his experience with that G.M.!! In these days and times it's a little cold-hearted to just turn someone away and then to lie to them like that when they are just looking for a job. I took my wife to eat there just to check it out and to be honest with you, it's a little over-priced and the service wasn't that great. I of course had my hard working good friend's experience and the lie he was told in the back of my mind and so for those reasons I won't be patronizing or recommending this establishment to anyone.
