The Village Fund status for September has been added to the Newsletter section. The information accurate as of September 9, 2004.

Total for all funds for the Village is $201,445.97. This is an increase of $103,411.31 since the fund status was reported in February of 2004.

Please see the articles on the fund status in the newsletter section for both the September and February updates.
CURIOUS

I am curious as to where all the Village funds went as of January 2002, since the Village was bankrupt at that time and the pension funds, I.R.S, workman's comp and bills hadn't been paid? I think the residents would be curious as I.

As Am I

The Audit Report covering 2002 and 2003 will hopefully be released in the next month or so.

The Auditors are in the final stages of completing the draft report. Once it is finalized it will be posted on the State Auditor's website for everyone to access.

It is a shame that while Irene White is curious about the finances for 2002 she was the Chair or the Finance Committee during that time.

I believe that many of the questions that residents have about the finances will be answered in the audit report. The auditor has done a more through examination of the records of the Village and that is why the report has not been released yet even though work began on the audit in January of this year.

To date the audit has cost the Village $12,000+ to answer questions about the 2002 and 2003 fiscal years and years previous to that.

Until the audit report is finalized I cannot comment on its contents. Once it is finalized I will place information here on the site with a link to the report so that people can read the report for themselves.

If you have any questions concerning the finances from February 2003 to the present please feel free to contact me.

It can truely be said, the Village is in the best Financial Shape it has ever been in. Bills are up to date and the Village has begun to put money into savings accounts to plan for rainy days. A new police crusier has been purchased and plans are being made to fix the streets and begin saving for the replacement of the older police cruiser.

The Financial Outlook for the Village is very promising and a bright financial future is ahead.
I Goofed!

I meant to ask, Where did the money go before 2002? Mr.Parrish said on October 13, 2004, ''The Village is in the best Financial Shape it has ever been in.''

Michael Russolillo said on December 12, 2000, ''We're still in the best financial shape we've been in years.''

How come the Village was ''broke''? It owed IRS, sheriff housing since 1998, pension funds, workman's comp. Whose finances was Russolillo speaking?

Petro, ''the state questioned some financial procedures for 1998 and 1999.'' ''Checks were not accuratly recorded in the village computer records.'' ''The village failed to pay $20,000 into the state Public Employment Retirement System.'' ''The records examined are for Jan. 1, 2000, to Dec.31, 2001 and lack invoices, time sheets and purchase orders for 60 expenditures. The records show an unreconciled cash balance and unexplained adjustments.''

Mr. Parrish wrote to the Westside Messenger, ''Teddy Rossevelt, in a speech he gave to the House of Representatives on April 14, 1906 said, ''There are, in the body politic, economic, ans social, many and grave evils, and there is urgent necessity for the sternest war upon them. There should be relentless exposure of the attack upon every evil man, whether politician or business man, every evil practice, whether in politics, in business or in social life. I hail as a benefactor every writer or speaker, every man who, on the platform, or in book, magazine, or newspaper, with merciless severity makes such attack, provided always that he in his turn remembers that the attack is of use only if it is absolutely truthful.'' This applies today as it did more than 96 years ago.

I truly believe this too. That is what I have been doing. If what I have said and the documents I have provided are untruthful, why have I not been sued? It has been said that I stole Village Funds. Why hasn't the Attorney General, State Auditor and sheriff made my alleged theft public and prosecuted me?
