Mr. Parrish, I note that you corrected Ms. White in her perception Officer Myers was disrespectful; you state the officers were ''forceful''. If we all paint the same sunset, will all the paintings look the same? Would you tell the other artists you don't agree with their color choices? Consider that Ms. White was driven from her home, left her friends & suffered public humiliation. Has anyone bothered to apologize? ''The Shadow'' was willing to admit to Ms. White's ''good intentions''-- she is trying her best to protect anyone from going through her experiences & seems to be met with ridicule, criticism & doubt. If an employee's integrity can be questioned to a large degree, why risk it? Doesn't this fall under the morality clause? When we are aware of someone's history, we should apply the information to the present-- are there more benefits than potential for problems? Ms. White, the ''letters to the editor'' indicate that an officer left-- some good has come from all the questioning. Perhaps Mr. Parrish is keeping his word & is working towards making this a great (and quiet) community where our biggest concerns are potholes and broken fences. I for one am very sorry you felt the need to leave and that after all this time, tempers are still going strong. We can give the council information to work with, but cannot force anyone to act on it. Based on recent events, I don't think you have spoken up in vain. What do you say everyone-- Truce?

Respect For All Sides

I have always stated that I supported Ms. White's cause, making Valleyview a better place but I have never agreed with her methods. I believe the Shadow stated the same thing.

There are better ways to accomplish some of the tasks than the methods that have been employed in the past.

For any ''truce'' to be effective, each side must respect the other's opinions and accept the differences between the two sides. I can listen to all sides and respect their opinions. I will always combat lies and allegations with the truth and provide the facts. I have never stated that my way is the correct way, I allow others to make that judgement based on the information provided to them. They can look at the same information that I have and make their own decision. I will never force my opinion or beliefs on someone else. I respect differing opinions and listen to all sides so that a more full and better picture can be painted. I comment only on those things that I have witnessed myself or seen the documents myself. I do not represent someone else's opinions or claims. They can do that for themselves.

In my opinion Ms. White's claims have made a difference in the Village. I believe that the running of the Village has improved greatly. Proper procedures are being followed and progress is being made to address the problems of the past. It may not have happened as fast as Ms. White wanted it to, but changes are taking place and Valleyview will be better for it.

Personal feelings towards others will always get in the way in small town politics, but that does not mean that credit should not be given to others when they have helped turn things around and made a change for the better no matter how small it may seem. Dwelling too long on the problems of the past without taking the steps to fix those problems or prevent them from happening again makes it worse for everyone.

Regardless of how I feel towards a person, I can appreciate their feelings and understand their frustations when things are not what they thought they would be.

In defense of the those that put their lives on the line for us every day, during any situation a police officer or firefighter has to get control of the situation to help insure their safety and that of the people they are dealing with.

Police Officers walk into a lot of situations that habor a lot of unknowns. During a traffic stop they do not know the person's history, if they have a gun, or how that person may react. An Officer's attention is directed towards what is going in the traffic stop and does not need the added worry of people from outside of the situation from becoming involved.

Officers take control of a situation and may be forceful in directing those not involved in a situation to remain out of the trouble. Respect their right to do their jobs and allow them to do their jobs unimpeded.

If Myers and Nalbach were ''forceful'' with me when I didn't do anything, can you imagine what they do on traffic stops when ''the Mexican'' have a wad of money and most can't speak english? I have been to traffic court. Does money speak english?

I left my home because my life and property were threatened? The people who did it are still in Valleyview. I was told I couldn't file a complaint.

I was ''met with ridicule, criticism, & doubt'', because I was libeled and the residents didn't bother to check out my proof and the records. I wish I could have stayed too, and stayed on council. Thank you.

My temper is still strong. It will stay that way until all the corrupt authority are gone. Watkins because of his history, is at the top of the list.
When you find out what he did you will be appalled and outraged that Parrish lied and supported him for mayor or any post in the Valleyview authority. I have to check on the statute of limitation. If it has ran out he can still be ousted from office.

I don't get the Messenger, please tell me which officer left?

You said ''you can give the council information to work with, but cannot force anyone to act on it.'' You most certainly can force them to act on it. If they don't file complaints with the Village solicitor, if he doesn't then file with the county prosecutor for dereliction of duty.

The residents are going to have to speak up, or nothing will change as long as you have the same people in authority. They lie for each other, as Watkins did for Luke Hickman.

Parrish ''took'' Raylene Graves' mail. He didn't give it back until someone told on him. He lied about the insurance claim and what Raylene said.

Watkins' day in court is coming and the people who support him. It is called aiding and abetting. Watkins and Parrish know I don't make false claims. They know that I know about Watkins. As I also know Andy Hawk, ''got the hell out of Dodge.'' People would rather leave than speak up. Are they afraid for themselves? I left but am still speaking. It will be that way until the corruption is gone from Valleyview.

I never based my opinions on personal feelings, I did it on knowledge of the persons acts, records and history.

You said that I was under investigation. You allowed people to threaten me on this site and say that I was a thief, psycho and a dope addict. You supported one for mayor and gave to one my seat on council.

I am very happy to hear that you ''respect'' these libelious statements and threats against me. You have the nerve to expect people to respect you and your opinion.
