I know there are many parents in our community with preschool age children. My daughter and I enjoy story hour at the Polaris Barnes & Nobles.

It is every thursday at 10:30am. The kids hear a story read and get to make a craft. It's a lot of fun for about a half an hour.

Story hour sounds fun! I will give it a try. My family is new to the neighborhood. I have a two year old daughter and a 5 mos. old son. I wonder if anyone would be interested in a playgroup. My daughter would love to have some friends and I wouldn't mind some adult conversation during the day.

There is a playgroup called AlumCreek Kids in our area. You can find a link to it under the hotlinks section. If you are talking about creating one for our neighborhood there are enough children to do it. Is anyone else out there interested?

Shadowcreek playgroup

I was thinking of a neighborhood playgroup. I think my kids will benefit from having friends that are within walking distance, and I know I would like to get to know my neighbors better.
