My family just moved from a community that pretty much kept to themselves. We lived in our previous home for 5 years and never saw our neighbors. One thing that turns a neighborhood into a community is friendship. So, I'm thinking BLOCK PARTY. This would be a great way to get to know each other and for my 5 year old daughter to make new friends - maybe even meet a babysitter or two. Any thoughts - ideas?

Good idea! My family is always up for a party. We haven't lived here for long and we're looking for friends for our kids (and ourselves). Also, I would really like to see some sort of Shadowcreek playgroup develop so that the kids in the neighborhood can get to know each other. I have a 2 year old daughter who is getting sick of hanging out with me all day. Anyone interested?
