Thanks for your complaint. Here's three items and a comment.
1. Viable complaints to the WEHA are top-priority
2. The City of Norman Action Center (Code Enforcement connection) phone number is: 366-5396 (www.cityofnorman.com). Of course you can also call the city police desk for connection to Code Enforcement at 321-1600. They will help with some of the complaints which homeowner?’s associations cannot or will not deal with successfully.
3. Your neighbor may have already been called concerning anonymous complaints from ?“people who pass by that house every day?”.
Your neighbor may have some issues and use them as an excuse to be delinquent in yard upkeep, etc. Someone has been in touch with them on several occasions concerning the yard, the trash bin and debris on the driveway, and has done everything from calling Norman Code-Enforcement to recommending a service to simply mowing the lawn themselves. They can come across as being cold and un-feeling, when in fact they simply look for compassion and understanding. Trash bin placement on the side of the house is unfortunately one thing we do not have in our Covenants or Bylaws. A recent city council forum concerning Norman HOA covenant enhancements addressed this, and hopefully it will lead to some legal implications in this direction. Until then, city ordinance allows for fines being assessed after 10-days if weeds exceed 12?”. When you talk to Code Enforcement, they will have answers to any other questions you may have. (Just an FYI)
