It's summertime!! Let's talk about neighborhood streets and parking ordinances.
You've got that beautiful boat out of storage or maybe you've just bought it and are sooooo proud to show it off! Are you parking it on the street at your residence?
You're getting ready to hit the road in your motor home or with your camper. Are you parking it on the street at your residence?
Even though your recreational vehicles are ''things of pride and joy'' for you, it isn't always the same for your neighbors. Parking your RVs in the street at your residence may be a problem for other residents... especially on some of our smaller neighborhood streets.
A short summary of the ordinance is as follows:
Ord. 32-322
One cannot park a vehicle 7 ft wide and/or 24 feet long on any residential street between the hours of 8pm and 4am except in an emergency or to load or unload.
You can see more on this ordinance at the City's web site as www.okc.gov.
Please be considerate of your neighbors' feelings this summer!
