Hi Neighbors,

I would like everyone to consider supporting another campaign to improve our neighborhood.

I have noticed that NW 47th & May has a nice crosswalk. The city also hires crossing guards for this intersection before and after school.

In contrast, NW Expressway & Villa does not have a crosswalk. You have to choose the right time of day to cross this intersection safely and you have to be quick (mentally & physically). I would not recommend crossing here on foot or bicycle. It is a shame too.

The Belle Isle library is close enough to walk if you could safely cross NW Expressway. I know many of our neighbors use that library regularly. I also know that there are kids in our neighborhood that attend Belle Isle Middle School. These kids could also walk to and from school if there were a safe way to cross NW Expressway.

I would love to see a bridge go up at this intersection. In the meantime, a crosswalk and school crossing guard would be nice. If you agree with me, please contact our City Coucilman, Sam Bowman at ward2@okc.gov or phone his office at 297-2402. Thank you for your interest and support.

Crossing NWEX

Belle Isle Library is a regular visit for me. I would very much like to be able to walk over there instead of driving. You can be sure I will add my voice to the campaign.
