Loud bass from residents' cars

Posted in: Westlake
I am sick and tired of hearing the loud music and bass coming from vehicles late in the night. I understood all that when I lived in an apartment complex, but now we all live in a nice neighborhood with retired couples and families and that kind of behavior should be tolerated 0% of the time. I don't know if anyone else even cares that this is going on, but it really bothers me. I don't know what vehicle this noise is coming from, but I know it's the same vehicles over and over. I was just wondering what anyone else thought on this topic, and if anyone else felt the same way?? I wouldn't mind filing a police report if I had more information on the person who continues to disrespect us all, but I need some help with more information. Please leave some feedback on this topic if you read this.

Turn it Down

There is a city noise ordinance and I believe it is that you should not be able to hear music more than 25 feet from the source. In our situation, we were able to go and visit with the family and express our concerns over the loud music that was being played in our part of the neighborhood. The next step was to call the police everytime they were violating the noise ordinance, and then we rallied the neighbors to file a complaint with the police department. However, it is very difficult when you don't know the source and you can't identify the person driving the car. The police will ask for a description of the person and the vehicle and the time of the violation. The person has to be caught in the act, so to speak, which makes it difficult when they are driving through the neighborhood with the music on. What street in Westlake is this happening? Is it happening everyday or on weekends and what time of the day?

NO MORE LOUD MUSIC

I live on the west side of Brandon Pl. It sometimes happens in the evening and late at night. It happens all throughout the week and the weekends, and I know that others hear it but obviously nobody wants to do anything about it? I'm not exactly sure which street it's coming from, but it is way too loud and I know that if others got involved that actually see the vehicle, then we could stop it.
