A new improvement happened recently at Smitty Park! Have you seen it?

Mike Truel, SPNA President, mentioned it at the April meeting......but we just had to see it for ourselves!

What is this wonder you're all asking?!

It's a Doggie Bag holder with bright blue bags for the public to use when walking their dogs in the park. Yea!!

Of course, we grabbed one when we began our walk even though our dog NEVER does ''that'' in public! How wrong she proved us! I guess that she also wanted to see how the nice blue bag worked! ha!

And, it worked wonderfully! No fuss, no mess, tie a knot and head for the trash can.

So.....PLEASE remember ''Dogs Can't Flush'' and that's why when you're walking your dog in Smitty Park, take a blue bag with you!

Much needed

I agree that the doggie bags are needed in our public areas. Too bad the school hasn't got a dispenser, too. Should we contact our councilman and see what we can do about that?

Wishful Thinking

I wish the lady who walks the big black dog in the mornings and carries a short rope lease would put it on her dog instead of just carrying the leash and letting the dog run wild to use my yard as it's own bathroom.

Probably just wishful thinking though on my part.

Park Problems

Living near the park we see lots of dogs running as they will. Lots of owners just walk them to the park and turn them loose. I watched a lady the other day with several dogs.....no bags used by her. It's a problem folks and one that isn't going to go away.
