Holiday lighting

Posted in: Canyon North
I decorated the outside of the house for the holidays for the first time this year and was wondering when all the decorations should be taken down by. I know some people keep them up during January for Epiphany parties, but what is the neighborly thing to do?

Thanks,
first time home owner

Holiday Lights

In order to keep the neighborhood looking nice it would be appropriate to leave lights up until all dates associated with the religious and New Years holiday are over. Perhaps set a deadline that decorations should be down by the second weekend in January. This will help keep neighbors from wondering if they'll ever be taken down and it might help save you money by reducing the risk of vandalism.
