I suippose not much activity here must mean everyone is outside enjoying the weather, but you might take a moment to read the Restrictions posted elsewhere on this website, just in case you are looking to make some sawdust. There is pertinent legal information regarding fences and other outdoor structures that may affect your plans. Just like speed limits and traffic lanes, these regulations are to protect us and our property values. It is my understanding that they can be changed by a majority (or perhaps it requires 100%?) of the residents they pertain to.
Anybody ever visit this site?

Structures/fences
Are you referring to a particular structure or fence. I something is not within the guidelines can a structure or fence have to be removed? |

Ah, so someone DOES read this
No, I was not being specific, but noticed many home improvements in the neighborhood. As far as making wrong things right, I suppose if something is in question it is the county's job to point this out to the homeowner, or at least to interpret the restrictions to ''us homeowners'' if there is an uncertainty. Personally, if something was really out of code and it affected me, I'd ask the county trustee to look into it. The person I'd first contact is located in the west end of the Berlin fire department building on Cheshire Rd, west of Old State (can't recall the fellow's name). I was told that permits for decks and such must come from the Delaware County courthouse. |
