I am very concerned at the amount of trash and litter I find on my daily walks thruout the Mt. Tabor, Montavilla
and South Tabor neighborhoods. Some days I pick up as many as 5-6 grocery size plastic bags of trash and no less than 1. Plus i bring home any of the trash that I can recycle, i.e.,plastic botttles, pop cans, tin cans etc.and wash them and put them in my recycling.
I find used syringes, needles, condoms,
dog waste (sometimes this is in a plastic bag but someone has simply thrown the plastic bag in a corner etc.) etc. Don't folks care about how their neighborhood looks? Could the city be convinced to put garbage cans by each bus stop? Or at least by every
other one particularly near Kaiser, PCC
and Warner Pacific. There are 2 apartment complexes on Division between 76th and 74th that are absolutly filthy with trash EVERYSINGLE day! And the new condos across from the Kaiser Clinic are disgusting with trash. Also around the Kaiser Clinic there are bandaids, gauze and of course the famous Starbucks cups and pepsi cups and etc etc. It breaks my heart to see how little we apparently care about how our neighborhoods and city look? HELP!
