Re: Special Edition - Newsletter

Posted in: Pat Acres Estates
After reading the newsletter I think I'm going to post a new message in
the Pat Acre website about the 10 suggestions that were submitted with the
dues on page 3 of the newsletter. I only disagree with 5 of them.

1. A security patrol, one of the more ludicrous suggestions. We don't
even have half of the families living in Pat Acres paying dues, do you really
think enough of them would be willing to form a security patrol or pay for
private security?

2. Charge the 138 families that pay the yearly dues another $25. What
for,so that we can fund more October fests that also benefit the 162 families
that don't pay dues and anyone else that drives by and sees the opportunity
for something for nothing.

3. Leave the speed bumps. Those that think the speeders on Spring Valley
are gone need only wait a while, their replacements will be back.

4. Maintain the entrance at Pat on a monthly basis. I think it looks
just fine the way it is, let's not waste anymore of our precious dues on it.

5. And the one that tops them all, ''Privacy gated community entrance'',
you have got to be kidding me. If you want to live in a gated community, move
into one but don't suggest that Pat Acres become one. The $25 yearly dues
will quickly become $25 weekly dues.

Re: Special Edition - Newsletter

Here is what I think:

1. Security patrol, no.

2. When I moved into this neighborhood and built my house there was no association, and I didn't want to live in a neighborhood with one. I don't attend any of the functions either.

3.I think they need to take out some of the speed bumps. 10 bumps on Beasley Rd is excessive and whoever built them, didn't do a good job, some are small, some are mountains. It was bad when people were driving 50 mph w/no bumps, but now it's worse, because people still drive fast and now hit the bumps. And what's worse, it's residents..it's the same people, I could give names/makes of cars...

4. Okay

5. To me, it's the residents I see who are causing the majority of the problems. It's the same people who rev their engines, have loud parties, have multiple families living/partying in what used to be a nice quiet single family neighborhood..It was so nice when we used to have deed restrictions, now we have rif raf moving into the neighborhood.
