This morning I received a call that sent chills down my spine--someone in oue community set Dennis Lafko's car on fire last night while it was parked in front of his home! This felon could have killed anyone in the neighborhood! Are we going to stand for this type of criminal activity? Does everyone realize the serious ramifications a crime such as this....the effect on the liveability of Southport...the negative impact on our property values? I've known Dennis and Melissa for over 4 years..they have worked tirelessly in support of our community...as our President Dennis is a strong leader who ''goes by the book'' as he should. I am publically imploring Dennis to stay on as President, and I want to start a reward fund for the arrest and prosecution of these cowards..I'll start that fund with a $100.00 contribution, and I ask the board to contribute at least $1000.00 to the fund...call the Police with any information, and let Dennis know that the community supports him!

Now, it's Time to Wake-Up!!

I'm not shocked nor surprised by what happened to the president of the board's car (Dennis). Similar problems have happened since these village homes were purchased!! To start, remember John? People thought he was making these ''so-call'' threats to his home against his family bogus. He was telling the truth and did the villagers step in and try to bring a stop to it. NO!! It's obvious that people don't care until it's a friend, relative or some other relation one would have to the person being victimized. These people are still here and are the ones that lie, manipulate, deceive out of pure selfishness, hatefulness, and greed to control their own self-indulgence. Some are on the board as I write this e-mail. They are for some, but not for all. They sympathize and listen to non-boardmembers (just like they did in the past) and this won't change until we (as the people) take control and get the people to trust what is it truth. Dennis Latko IS in my opinion the best president this village has had. That is one of the reason that some coward(s) went as far AS to scare him and his family. Dennis did not deserve that!!!!! But what are we to do?? There are ways, believe me but we must get people attention the right way. Some of the people on the board now are no different from the past ones. We need to know who they are. What are their purpose, their believe, their intention? When they make decisions, do they make them on all of our behalf??
NO, NO, NO (answered) no questions about it. Dennis is strong, but he's to strong for low-down people!!!! What happened to Dennis is that the cowards can't confront him so they go behind his back to give him a message. Believe me, I have gotten several messages from villagers/boardmembers in the past, but I prayed about it and I decided to take the necessary actions to protect what's mine and the cowards know it. Again, it been here all along and it's not going anywhere until we do the ''right thing.''
