Speeding (Too close for comfort)

Posted in: Kenmure
As we transition to our own HOA board I believe that the neighborhood speeding issue needs to be addressed.

I am not talking about the contractors still on site, that will correct itself when construction ends. My concern is with Kenmure residents that are consistently heavy on the accelerator. My daughter came as close as I have ever seen anyone almost get clipped and it was a resident of this community that was traveling easily in excess of 35 mph.

Please slow down....

I would like to propose a neighborhood limit of 20 mph.

Regards.

Stop Signs

John, as I brought up in the last HOA meeting and talked with GreyStone about, the solution we all agreed on is stop signs. We plan to install them at the three intersections on Winding Lake which should curb some of the speeding. This should happen shortly after we take over the association.
Agreed.

David,

I agree that the ''stop'' signs are part of the solution, but also think that we need to think about posting a low speed limit that can be enforced should we need to turn to Seminole County for assistance.

The east/southeast edge of the development (which is not where I live) will have a considerable distance between signs and may not see any benefit from them.

I think both of these solutions coupled together are a great start.
