Lets discuss how adding a video surveillance system not only adds value to your home and provides an audit trail of who comes and goes, but also is a great deturrent for theft and vandalism, and more. For a reasonably small amount of money and little if any ongoing labor cost, it's a very worthwhile addition to our neighborhood. Let's discuss.

Interesting Idea
Bryan mentioned this at our first meeting and I thought it was a good idea. We should definitely look into the cost and gauge the interest of the community. It certainly is another step in maintaining an awareness of what is happening at the front gate and might very well deter expensive vandalism in that area. By Rich Roland |

Video Surveillance
Finally we have made great progress in getting video surveillance at Glenmuir. We have proposals in hand that outline the system. We are looking to have cameras on the keypad, outbound and inbound to capture tag, make and model. In addition we are planning to put cameras in the park to protect our families and park equipment. The front gate cameras will be visible on a channel on brighthouse networks cable. All of the camera images will be captured 24x7 in a secured weatherproof enclosure and the images watermarked for anti-tampering and legal reasons. The images can be put on a DVD and provided to the authorities. We hope to have decisions by the board and installation in the 1st quarter of 2006. |

There will be cameras going in (vehicle and license plate) and out(same) and keypad camera. In addition there will be 3 cams in the park to detur damage, detur criminal activity, etc. You will be able to view the keypad cam on your cable tv. |
