Triangulated Minutes of 8/24/06 Meeting



Call to Order (CTO) by President Unruh at 6:37pm at John Collins Church, 2320 S. Bannock.



Present:



A motion was accepted to keep ONA meetings to one hour, with extra business reserved for the time after adjournment.



Treasurer?’s Report: $1109.85.



The notion of welcoming candidates in the November election was discussed. ONA bylaws prohibit direct support of candidates. Frank Dutton suggested, and the group agreed, that candidates could speak after adjournment. The group also agreed to a candidate forum with other neighborhood associations.



A signup sheet was circulated for those interested in a ?“media group,?” to deal with the issue of distributing the newsletter to those without internet access.



John Livaditis, one of the property owners on Delaware St., talked about cleanup, RDT?’s Evans Light Rail Station plan, and ONA?’s role. Julie Connor said RDT might add 20 extra parking spaces. Frank Dutton expressed frustration at other neighborhood?’s higher standards (curbed sidewalks, grass, etc.).



At about this point, President Unruh left the building.



Inspired by their Westside comrades, the Eastside incarnation of ONWATCH proceeds apace. Jennifer Pollock, SE Quadrant Commander, circulated a sign-up sheet for block captains. Also a signup sheet for food or a $3.00 donation was circulated for the September 23 picnic.



Senator Allard?’s appearance at the Shattuck site on Wednesday 8/30 at 10am was noted, as was a future celebration (in October) funded by the EPA.



Arlene Lippman mentioned a bus stop issue at Warren and Iliff. Julie Connor said an officer will be assigned.

With machine-like precision, the meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
