Minutes of 9/28/06 Meeting
Call to Order (CTO) by President Unruh at 6:38pm at John Collins Church, 2320 S. Bannock.
Present:
Treasurer?’s Report (Current Balance $1169.85) was approved.
Betsy Raube reported on the ONA picnic on 9/23/06.
Next month?’s Pot Luck Meeting on 10/26/06 will be the last meeting of the year. We?’ll then resume in January (the 25th, 2007). Also, the Shattuck Celebration has been moved to Saturday, November 4 at 10am, to accommodate ?“workin?’ stiffs,?” and to lure the Mayor over the Evans bridge on foot.
Elections will be held next month. All current office holders offered to either remain or resign. Catherine Sandy threw her tiara in the ring for president. An absent Jennifer Pollock was proposed as vice president. Ronnie proposed the creation of a Board of Directors. Unruh offered to amend the bylaws, appointing Ronnie president of said Board. Matt Riley was named Pedestrian Bridge Czar. Kevin was retained as Data Base Coordinator, and named chair of the Zoning Committee.
Ann & Ryan Clement, representing the Mayor?’s office, spoke in favor of Referendum 1A. Chris Nevitt and Julie Connor, both running for Mackenzie?’s seat in May, were present.
Connor (bearing flyers with coupons from Parks & Recreation) and Unruh mentioned yet another acronym: NIS (Neighborhood Inspection Service), in regard to the noise ordinance and environmental health inspectors.
Action Group sign-up sheets were circulated for Media Membership (headed by Jenny Willoughby), Planning (Kevin Dickson), and Pedestrian Bridge (Matt Riley, Czar).
A motion to investigate ONA?’s pursuit of 501(c)3 status was passed.
With Catherine Sandy?’s exhortation (?“Go home?”), we adjourned at 7:36pm.
