National Night Out was a whopping success. Speaking as a new community member who had never attended such an event, I was quite impressed by the community turn out.
It was great to find that there are so many people interested in taking the neighborhood back from crime and drug dealers.
Everyone looked comfortable as they visited with neighbors, listened to soft music, and ate bar-b-que and desert.
Many great items were donated and raffled off. We actually were lucky enough to be drawn for a cozy quilt.
Many thanks to all who participated including the Clackams County Sheriffs Department, Clackamas County Mounted Sheriffs Department for bringing their beautiful horses, Clackamas County Fire Department your Fire/Rescue truck was a great addition, McGruff and his friend the Bee for talking to the children, The National Guard, The Rec-mobile and the face painting-storytelling clowns. Many thanks to all community businesses and organization not previously mentioned who brought samples, gift bags and coupons without all of you, National Night wouldn't have been possible.
Looking forward to next year!
