Oxbow Neighbors

Ever since the greenbelt that borders our community has become accessible thanks to the presence of  paved walking trails and park police, not only is crime down, but residents now have a safe place to walk, ride, explore and enjoy the benefits of our surroundings. While all this is well and good, access to such trailways within this neighborhood is quite limited. Even if you live next to the parks and greenbelt, you might have to walk down a paved ditch or vacant lot to gain access without first exinting the neighborhood. Already, our neighbors at the corner of Enchanted and Country Springs living on either side of the ditch have built, or are in the process of building, fences to stop people from entering our parks and trailways. Yes, you can find other, less convenient, ways in, but did it ever cross your mind that the people who are at this moment blocking your path can easily enter the park from their own backyards? How is this fair? Not to mention that the space left between the fence they built to deny entrance is just big enough for a teenager with a spray can to fit through... Just something to think about.

Let's not forget that EMS has on more than one occasion used our vacant lots and drainage ditches to rescue lost children and those in need of medical attention.
