Here are some facts
Its interesting that someone would call Lee Gray and ask him what he plans to do the first 100 days and then the second 100 days if he is elected. Clearly the poster has no idea how a board, a commission, or a council works. When running for a legislative body it is important to note a person's position on issues but when that candidate makes absolute promises then you better darn well be worried. During this campaign season I have heard a number of those absolute promises and I reject them all. When you end your position statement with the word ''period'' then how do you follow through with that promise if everyone else is stating a different promise?
The second point is if you are going to ask that question of Lee Gray then why not ask Jim Brink and Lisa Reade? What are they going to promise and what are they going to do in their first 200 days in office?
Finally the drunk driving issue with Lee Gray and the corruption charges. I have a copy of the video that was taken by the dash cam in July of 1998. The audio worked very well and you could hear most of what was being said. Not being a police expert but sending time in the military I know when a person is drunk and this fellow was drunk in my opinion. He was pulled over in front of the PYAA fields on 256. The officer did a field sobriety check and I feel the driver failed. The driver's girl friend called Lee Gray on her cell phone and asked him to come pick them up. It clearly shows her making that call that on the tape. The girl friend was abusive and informed the officer that Lee Gray was coming to pick them up.
In fairness to Lee Gray he was not aware of the facts of the case and the actions of the officer. He was called around 2:30 AM on a Sunday morning to come pick up a friend who had been pulled over. Clearly the officer was intimidated by the Mayor and didn't say much or explain his reason to the Mayor for pulling over the alleged drunk driver. He simply turned his detainee over to the Mayor. This officer is still on the Pickerington Police force and he has had a fine record. I am not sure of any charges being filed against this driver but the most serious one was the DUI and once you don't do a breath test then that charge is very hard to prove in court.
I know Lee Gray but I have not spoke with him about the incident. However knowing Lee I think if he had to do it all over again I believe he would have asked more questions this time before driving his friend home.
The issue about corruption is a strange one. We what to paint everyone with a broad brush and back it up with no facts only associations with others. I have talked with Lee in regard to issues on that front and I feel he gave me very reasonable answers. I also verified much of what he said in business journals and on the internet. Unless you have more details I wish we would refrain from the slander.

Joyce Bushman was hired when Rita Ricketts was Mayor.
The growth in the City of Pickerington occurred after Lee Gray left office in 1999. Most of the school growth was occurring in the Columbus incorporated areas of the school district. After 2000 when the city went wild with annexations that is when the City of Pickerington added to the school population.
