Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

Last week, I reported that Pickerington High School was only sending 55% of it graduates on to 4-year universities. Mr. Mark Uher challenged that figure and called a Mr. Ebright at the Pickerington High School and he said that 74.9% of the Pickerington graduates go to college. I made a statement about 4-year colleges not colleges. Mr. Uher then drops the 4-year part and states with authority that he talked with the PLSD counselor and that PATA had posted incorrect information on the WEB site. Only Mark knows the truth, even when he answers the wrong questions. The facts are that only 55% of the PLSD graduates are prepared to gain admittance to a 4-year college. They make up the part of the European vacation. The truth is our kids are getting a rotten education and are ill prepared to enter a 4-year college. Mark Uher to keep his status with the school administration, he is very willing to cover-up this fact He wanted me to call the surrounding school districts. I did that last year. Mark I know the answers and so do you.

So let me re-phase the question Mark. What percentage of PLSD graduates attend 4-year colleges and what percentage of PLSD graduates attend 2-year or technical schools? The other schools in the area all broke those figures down for me.

You stated that you had been in contact with the Ohio Election commission. Why would you need to call them? You directed Mr. Hackworth the other night to read the ?“Thick Book.?” Couldn?’t you find the answers in the book? So since you haven?’t beat you little feet down to the commission to file a complaint then we should all assume that you can find nothing to charge PATA or Ed Laramee with. Still blowing smoke!!!!!!!!!!

Today you listed a resume of your service to the Pickerington community. I was surprised to see that you listed ?“President-Elect, Panthers Boosters.?” Exactly where are these Panthers? No don?’t tell me let me guess!! Oh this is fun!! They wouldn?’t be the Reynoldsburg Panthers would they? How about the Groveport Panthers? Oh!! Now I remember the Pickerington Panthers. That must be a misprint Mark. The school is not built. The boundary committee is still working on which students that will attend the new high school. If we don?’t know who the students are how can we know who the parent boosters will be??????? Is Daryl Barry a Panther Booster also?

Are there Republicans on your booster club? Do they conduct business like they local Republicans did on October 18th 2001? The action that was strongly supported by you and Mrs. Carlier on Novemebr 3rd. I can see now why you didn?’t have a problem with 4 republicans endorsing themselves.

The question now begs to be asked. Who voted for you to be president? Do these people live in the school district? Are these boosters parents? I would hate to go to bed tonight believing that Mark Uher was a fraud. That the only reason he is attacking PATA is because they tend to find things out like this and tell the Pickerington area taxpayers.

PLSD is Top 13 Districts in Ohio


Dr. Pepper:

I hope you read today's This Week in Pickerington about how once again PLSD is one of the top 13 districts in the State of Ohio. In addition,I trust you have read the recent Columbus Monthly edition comparing area high school.

In Columbus Monthly, it was stated that Pickerington High School has one of the highest rates of graduates going onto college.

According you, a source named Dr. Pepper, only 55% of PHS graduated attend college while in Groveport over 70%. (Excuse me for laughing but any reasonable human being in all of Central Ohio would get a chuckle about your facts even those living in Groveport). You said the other schools provided you the information last year.

I hope you called the right number for Canal Winchester last year because the phone number you had listed in your posting was for Pickerington.

I don't know exactly where Daryl Barry lives, but he mentioned to me that he lives in the condos as Dave Shaver. Dave is his neighbor. So I guess he lives somewhere in the City of Pickerington.

Regardless where my son goes to school, the boosters have elected two current vice presidents to serve as president-elect for the two new boosters for one year. With my previous experience, I could help get the new club operating. Again, regardless of where my son goes, I will help students district-wide.

I hope you have a wonderful Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for this year.
