Pickerington Area Taxpayers Alliance

A neighbor informed me that there is a WEB site here in Pickerington that is making uncalled for remarks about my group PATA. After viewing the site on that neighbor's computer I thought I should make a comment as well.

We were formed to help our schools pass levies and help the school administration stay in power. If I don't say so myself we have been very successful. Just look at all the schools we have built in the last ten years. We have close ties with the PACC (Pickerington Area Chamber of Commerce) and we use them on a regular basis. They in turn have close ties with the city government. These relationships have worked to their advantage over the last ten years or so.

As in every organization we find an idiot or two that starts our demise. In the last couple of years we have another group that calls itself PATA as well. Now don't be tricked by these guys. They are trying to change the community attitude with public documents and other information that at one time we were able to keep from the public. Don't believe them! Believe me I know what I am talking about! Don't be faked out! They do not reflect the majority views of the citizens of Pickerington and Violet Township. Remember our kids will get to go to the new High School Right?


We are a very emotional group. After all, our kids come first regardless of any other community sub-group that needs the government's attention. We think those that do not belong to the Chamber of Commerce or have their kids in sports that they should not be given any consideration when it comes time for school issues. If we are opposed during our political cycles (which is almost yearly) we will show no mercy regardless of who that person is or what group they belong too. In fact, we do much better having someone to oppose. This helps unite our group when we point out who the enemy is! The leaders are responsible for telling us who the enemies are. This worked great in Germany in the late 30's and it has never lost its effectiveness.


Why did you move to Pickerington? It wasn't for the many services they offer. It wasn't for the low tax rates we all pay! It was for the sports and your children's future. For those of you without children you screwed up! Now try to sell that house and get what you paid for it. I think you will be here a few more years. It is not that we don't appreciate your tax dollars to educate our children but we must keep our schools in the triple A division of Ohio High School Sports. I know this won't help our kids earn a living but we sure are having the time of our lives living through our kids.

So those of you that visit this Web site don't confuse us with them. We are the PICKERINGTON ATHLETIC TOADIES ASSOCIATION. Please call us PATA for short.

What Triple AAA Division?

Mr. Jock:

With interest, I read your comments about PATA. You indicated that we must keep our schools in the triple A division of Ohio High School Sports.

I hate to tell you that the triple AAA division was eliminated over a decade ago.

Time Out!

Yea Uher! Go right ahead and find something wrong with what I had to say. Man, my family and kids log onto this WEB site. Have you no shame? You are discrediting me right in front of the PATA members! Whose side you on anyway? Have you forgotten the PATA ostrich pledge? ?“No matter how underhanded the establishment is we must never let on.?” One day you are talking about Maxey being brilliant, the next day you are ragging on me. I don?’t get it. Uher let?’s not fight remember, ?“we are for the same things.?”

I remember them trying to change the High School sport divisions. I didn?’t pay much attention because I thought it was some kind of four-grade math quiz. The old system was so easy to remember. You had the car club, the drunks, and the cabin in the sticks. Now they go and make into long division. Oh! Now I get it! We?’re number ONE!

Uher, you seem to be up to no good. Are you spreading rumors around about me? I heard that you think my initials stand for ?“Big Dumb.?” Is that what you have been saying? It all fits in with your little comments above. I think I?’ll tell everybody they stand for ?“Barry Daryl.?” How?’s that? I?’ll have more prestige in the community than you.

Now lets cooperate I won?’t say any more negatives about you if you promise to not say any more negatives about PATA.
