The latest rumor is that PYSA is seriously considering trading the soccer fields to Daryl Berry in exchange for land on Long road. Supposedly he wants to use the present soccer fields for a condiminum project (maybe he can throw in another drug store since we haven't built one in the last month).

Hopefully this deal will turn out to be a false rumor, but we should be watchful. The truth of the saying ''Beware of Greeks bearing gifts'' certainly applies to some of the more recent transactions from Mr. Berry. Who can forget the gift of the land for the police station. Now we learn that this ''gift'' is not only for land closer to Columbus than most of Pickerington, but is of such poor quality that it is impossible to proceed with the original police station design calling for basement facilities. This means that we the taxpayers now have to pay for redesigning the plans(that we already paid for once) so that new station can be built without sinking into the donated swampland. In return for this ''generous'' donation (to quote our councilmenbers) Mr. Berry recieved a road paid for by the taxpayers back to his new development and free water and sewer lines and waived fees. If the people of Pickerington are interested in any more deals, I have a nice bridge I would like to donate in exchange for the right to build a strip mall at Victory Park.

Seriously, how can anyone at PYSA even considering trading fields that it has taken years to bring to thier current high level for fields far outside the city limits in land that is likely to be exrremely difficult to keep drained. Anyone who has kids who play soccer should be telling PYSA that we don't want the fields moved to make room for yet another development along Route 256.

Tonight, I read the most recent posting on our ''discussion area'' and it concerns the PYSA allegedly planning to sell or exchange the complex to Darryl Berry for land along Long Road. Many people believe that you have put so much effort into the excellent facility (EXCEPT the Parking )and cannot believe this would be true. I am sending you a copy of this discussion posting and the link to it on our site. If you care to, you may respond to the person posting the item on the web site as I know many people are interested in this issue. Last month we had over 7500 hits on our site, it is clearly very popular.

Due to the problems on the Police facility land that Mr. Berry donated to the City, many people are suspicious of the nature of land he is giving away. Please be careful if this is, in fact, a true rumor. I realize you need more space as you are now bursting at the seams. However, the land you may give away or trade is really valuable, especially with the access to SR 256. It is probably worth many millions. The corner of SR 256 and Refugee, Drug store location, sold for 2 million dollars, and it was only one acre. I urge you to please seek excellent legal and real estate advice from an INDEPENDENT SOURCE to protect your interests if this is true. Thank you for considering this information, and I do hope you respond to the posting or to this email and I will post the response myself if you like.

I heard this rumor myself two days ago, but with none of the details provided here. No one has contacted PYSA about buying our land. It's amazing how these things get posted without a call to PYSA.

Barry does it again

I guess Lisa losing it. Normally she would have picked on the double talk of Mr. Paul Cieply, PYSA President.

The first sentence, he says he heard, ?“the rumor about two days ago.?” Is it true Mr. Cieply? Then he says, ?“No one has contacted PYSA about buying our land.?” Mr. Cieply is the rumor true? Then he says, ?“It?’s amazing how these things get posted without a call to PYSA.?” Is the rumor true Mr. Cieply?

Mr. Cieply is not answering the question directly just like so many of our little rumors that start here on this web site that people try to blame the web site for allowing people to express themselves without ID ing themselves. Yet somehow in the end the rumors prove to be accurate.

I am starting pool right now. How long will it be before Mr. Barry owns the PYSA fields to put his condos on? According to Doug Parker he has most of them ones down by the railroad sold so he needs a new opportunity to make millions off of the Pickerington morons. These same morons will then worship the ground Barry walks on after the screwing. He is one hell of a salesman!
