Update on Petitions
Earlier this summer, several petitions were being circulated requesting that residents support the addition of two stop signs (on the corners of Zarthan Ave. and 39th St., and at Zarthan Ave. and Cambridge St.) and encouraging commercial landscaping and delivery vehicles to use primary routes rather than residential streets. These petitions have been completed and will be turned in for action in the upcoming weeks.

An Appeal to Go Slow
Several neighborhood residents and at least one church have requested a community-wide request to ?“go slow.?” Vehicle traffic in our neighborhood is on the rise, and concerned residents are urging everyone to lead by example and slow down.
In addition to vehicles exhibiting excessive speed and failure to fully stop at signs on residential streets, Aldersgate United Church of Christ ?— with its unique parking lot and access road ?— has seen increasing cases of careless driving near its building. The church is urging all residents to use the main streets, but if you must use the lot and access road, to do so with care.
Update at neighborhhood meeting

Based on petitions, the stop signs will be approved at the next city council meeting.
