The Governor's Office of Student Achievement is scheduling presentations that will provide an overview of the components of Georgia?’s Single Statewide Accountability System (SSAS) and its implementation timeline. Education stakeholders across Georgia have made recommendations for the development and implementation of an Accountability Profile for each public school and school district.
Accountability Profiles will include three components: AYP for schools and school districts, a Performance Index for schools, and Performance Highlights for schools and school districts. This presentation will include an overview of the SSAS Award Structure based on the Performance Index for each school. Discussion will include interventions for schools and school districts escalating in Needs Improvement status as well as amendments to both the State Board of Education Rules Chapter 160-7-1 and Georgia?’s AYP Workbook.
The information about the Single Statewide Accountability System will be offered as part of the Advocacy Legislative Conference on September 16.
