Pacific Village HOA

I just moved in Pacific Village and found that it is not a friendly commuity.

The HOA is giving me hard time. The board member who is in charge of

parking permits even said to me: If you don't like the parking rules, you can move!

HOA should protect its residents, not push them to move away!

My garage is under construction these days. My contractors needed to clean

up my garage last night so we needed to move out our cars for an hour. Then

our car was towed! HOA blamed me that residents should not park their cars

in guest parking and guest parking is not public facility for us to use.

I pay $319 HOA fee monthly and I can not use community public facilities!!??

Is guest parking not one of the public facilities!?

When I was buying house, as I knew, guest parking is one of the community

public facilities.

Besides that, I gave my parking permits to my contractors and I do not have

printer at home to print out more daily passes. The board member who is in

charge of parking permits said she is willing to print it out for me. But when I

said: Can I knock on your door asking for permits printing on 11pm?

She said NO!

But my guests are coming around 11pm! Then what should I do? Tell my

guests to go away because the board member doesn't want to print the

permit for me?

HOA should protect its residents and make this place better to live.

But this HOA creates a rediculously strict parking rules which doesn't have

any grace space. I have to worry my contractors' cars got towed. I can not

even move my car out for an hour to clean garage. I don't want to park my

car on street because it is not safe to my car and myself.

And the board member even said this to welcome a new neighbor:

If you don't like the parking rules, you can move!

I have live in this community for several years and agree with you regarding our board and its way they treat us.   I was told that this lady on the board is on the prowel to tow cars without a parking pass.   One of the neighbors also told me that her friends car got towed and when they went to the towing yard they guy said that she is out to get people becouse in one day she called in 11 cars to be towed and I think she is getting a cut from the tow yard.   Get a life lady.... whats your problem?.  

It's one thing to keep the community clean and nice to live in, but another when you get harrassed in your own home by these board members.

Lets get the community involved and start putting in our vote on new board members that are here for us.

11 cars in one day!!? My God, what is her problem? Does she do nothing and

just watch the parking lot?

The towing company even towed my contractor's truck which had a daily pass

put on his dash board!!! One good neighbor went to warn my contractor that

the towing company was towing his truck. He stopped the tow guy and the tow

guy said he did not notice there was a daily pass in the dash board!

Me and my husband tried to attend the HOA meeting this month. We got

locked outside. There were about 4-5 people inside the club house.

2 of them saw us but no one opened the door for us. I guess those board

members love to play by themselves and don't want residents to get

involved.

When is the next time to vote for new board members? I agree with you.

Let's use our votes to elect new board members who really care for us.

Lets see if we can work on getting information regarding re-election of the board.   You may not know that they only started this parking lot war about a month ago because they say we had a parking problem, but I think its that they were board and wanted to find something to keep them occupied.

We need to build a friendly community of neighbors and friends, however all these kind of actions brought by them is not benefiting anyone but the towing company.
