What about Deed Restrictions?

Cindi,

The Homepage here has a link to Manatee County Government. Follow the pages to Code Enforcement. The County uses Java Script, so you cannot go directly to the page. You must walk through their pages. Fairly simple though. Start at ''Services.''

Deed Ballot

Dear Anonymous,

The Homeowners Association meets the second Tuesday of each month, shall I say 7:00 P.M. so it can start on time at 7:15 P.M. Although Deed Restrictions are not on the Agenda, you can talk to those who support the move and will probably be at the Deed Restriction Meeting on some Saturday in September or October.

The Manatee County Elections Office will supervise Elections for Board Members on the first Tuesday of December 2003 to elect Bayshore Gardens Special Recreational Tax District, Trustee Seats #1, 3, 5, 7, & 9. Within that cost, is a 8 1/2 by 11 inch Ballot. If the deed Restrictions are on the ballot, there is no additional charge. Should another 8 1/2 by 11 inch Ballot be required, then that cost must be approved by the Board of Trustees. The wording of the Ballot(s) must be turned into the Supervisor of Elections by October 15th.

Those that attend the meetings have control of what is suggested. Right now, off the top of my head, subject to some margin of error is:

Mail Boxes removed from street to be replaced by ''On house'' devices.

Grass and lawns will have the appearance of being cut within the last 10 days and not exceed 6 inches in height.

Boats and RVs will not be seen from the street.

Xeroscaped or other unique land scaping plans will have a tended, manicured look to them.

Fences, sheds, shrubs and other border type entities will conform to one or two options.

Other Items have been discussed. One guy even suggested that all front doors must be painted a teal or turquoise with light blue roof trim.

There are some just as adamant at preventing Deed Restrictions as there are those that want them. One thing common on both sides, is that we all want a nice neighborhood and enforcement of current rules.

So, are you a leader or follower? Are you part of the problem, or part of the solution? Where will you be when the final recommendation is presented to the Board. Are you for them or against them? The Recreation Center has something going on virtually all of the time. Can you participate or rather your neighbor tell you how you can live? Make a difference and be there.
