My well has cleared up and the discoloration was probably caused by the sediment in the well being disturbed by the seismic shaking. I have not heard any sound of seismic thumping in weeks. Before thumping the oil companies deploy dozens of metal boxes along a long line connected with wires This past spring these sensor boxes were laid out along Piney Lake between Inspiration and County Line rd. If anyone sees these testing boxes in the area please post to this site so we can keep track of what is going on with the fracking activity around us.
If you listen to the oil companies there has never been a case of water well contamination since fracking began in the 1940s. Truth is the current method of fracking was first used in 1999. The COGCC is the regulatory agency overseeing fracking in Colorado but it is composed of mostly oil company executives. They do their best to prevent any negative information from reaching the public. They have finally admitted to a household water well in Weld county being contaminated by fracking and the oil company settled with the well owner.
