SAFETY WHILE HOME!

Warning to homeowners: Burglars are using dog doors to gain entry into houses. With vacation time here remember to keep your home and property SAFE! Here are a few tips that we have run in newsletters in the past that are worth rerunning:

?·Have someone pick up your newspaper, door fliers and mail when you are going to be gone
?·Put lights, radios or TV?’s on timers or have someone turn them off and on.
?·Make sure your yard does not look overgrown.
?·Put padlocks on gates.
?·Let neighbors know you will be gone and ask them to keep a look out for you.
?·Let the Police know you will be gone for a long period of time and then stop your mail and newspaper.
?·Be discrete when packing for a long trip.
Be safe, think smart and enjoy your time away!
