Park Civic Association

Do you have any ideas or Suggestions that you would like to see built on the corner lot of White Settlement and  Academy?

We would like to get a list together to present to the developer.

There was a suggestion of a Bowling Alley, a Pack and Mail Store (UPS Store, for neighbors and friends to be able to mail packages to their loved ones over seas), a Shoe Repair Shop, a Seafood Restaurant.....etc.

What would you like? Please let us know and let your voice be heard.

Neighborhood Park:

  Also what would you like in your neighborhood park?  Please let us know what you would like so that we can get a list together for the City of Fort Worth. Some of the ideas and suggestions were - a walking/jogging track on the perimeter of park, a pavilion, play equipment....etc.

A spa, gym with a hot tub & exercise equipment would be nice.

For the park, covered picnic tables would be nice.

I'm concerned about very young g irls on the street at night, in groups without parents.  Where are their parents?  Don't they know the pedephiles target girls like this with no supervision. It sad but it's not safe.

Peggy, thanks for all that you do! I have yet to join your monthly meeting (playoffs) but am going to be there next month.

The park - I would love to see a walking track, a basketball court, picnic pavillion, and a play gym similiar to the park by the creek near Blue Haze. Of course, a baseball diamond would be wonderful as well.

The complex off of Academy and White Settlement road: PUT IN A HEALTH GYM!! Oh my goodness, I would love to see a workout arena with weight equipment and childcare. I would join for sure. Right now, my option is the Y off of Calmont and I don't like driving that far. So, that is a must. (and I don't like the little bittie ones that have 4 treadmills and an eliptical.) JUST my opinion! Next to the gym, I would like to see a payless, a sit-down mexican restaurant, a health foods store, build-a-bear work-shop, A CHILDRENS PLACE (love that place) something along those lines would be great. Just not another gas station.

Also, someone is stealing my exterior light bulbs! ?? So, keep an eye out guys. I live on Mount Pheasant.
