Ok, just noticed the nice new sign that is located out by Davies Plantation road, looks pretty good ! I had some concerns on folks walking across Davies Plantation road, I believe we need for the City of Bartlett to paint some pedestrian crosswalks into the park area, this way pedestrians have a "right of way" to cross and cars would have to slow down for this.

What say you ???

I also agree with this!  When we first moved to the neighborhood last year I called with concerns of people SPEEDING down Pembroke Ellis Drive.  We have an autistic child and it can be dangerous with people tearing through going so fast.  I asked that maybe some speed humps be put on the street to cut down on the number of people cutting through.  The City of Bartlett does not allow speed humps nor will they consider even putting up a sign saying there is a child with special needs in the area.  This blows my mind.  There were several radar set up on the street for a few weeks but that was it and now it is right back to people barreling down the street at high speeds.  It just ins't safe.  Is there not another option?

I believe that the City of Bartlett can be approached to put in the speed bumps or other devices to keep the speeding down in our neighborhood but it would require getting a petition drive put together and submitting it at City of Bartlett meeting.

I also believe that with proper notice, possibly legal notice, the City of Bartlett could be told they will be held legally accountable for their decisions in light of such concerns from the citizens it must serve. I have lived in Davies Plantation since 1993, have witnessed for the most part decent and respectable folk that live here but we also have the 2% amongst us that think the Laws are for everyone else except them !!! You know who you are .............. whether you drive a "beater car" or "fancy ride" or "mudder vehicle", no one is above the law here at any time ............................ Texting while driving, drinking while driving, putting make up while driving, playing games with your cellphone while driving ....................... ALL A NO-NO !!!
