Meadows Loop Apartment Parking

Posted in: Wilsonville Meadows
Like Jolene, we also have a concern about parking around Berkshire Court apartments. If anyone remembers, in 1996 when we were going to hearings and fighting Randall for design and planning, the parking issue was addressed and we were told that there would be adequate inside parking. We were also told that one side of Meadows Loop would be designated ?“no parking?” because of the curvature of the road. Now, the City has decided to make both sides of Meadows Loop parking areas.

We spoke to the City and were told that they would be center striping the road and that there was room for four car widths. Mathematically, that may be true but when trucks are parked there and larger vehicles (including school buses) are trying to get by around the curve, we think there will be problems.

Perhaps the city is making concessions for making ?“no parking?” zones in front of the new houses. While the City is making changes, maybe it would be a good time to ask for a one side ?“no parking?” area on Crestview close to Meadows Parkway. What does anyone else think about this issue?

Non-resident Parking - Up to Us?

Trucks, trailers (primarily contractors replacing the siding)parked along Meadows Loop and Meadows Parkway in excess of 8,000 #s GVW are in violation of city parking ordinance as well as any vehicle that parks longer than 72 hours or parks facing the wrong direction. Our only recourse is to contact Clackamas County Sheriff dipatch at 503-655-8211 to report violations as they do not routinely stop.
Today I asked NW Property Management (Mike)what was being done on their part to negotiate with the apartments and the City a resolution to this issue. They will get back to me. I will followup in this forum.
I feel that NW Property Management needs to aggressively take action on our behalf to resolve.
