Halloween is upon us, and the social committee wants to give a few pointers for Trick or Treating.
?· Remember, if you do not want kids (or adults) coming to your door that evening, leave your porch light off.
?· Please plan to only do your trick or treating between 5:30 and 9:00.
?· If you are driving around the neighborhood that evening please proceed with caution, there are a lot of little ones wandering and they are not always looking. We have to rely on the adults in the car to watch for them.
?· Do not approach a house or knock on the door of a home that does not have a front porch light on or an obvious indication they are participating in Halloween.
?· Please try to keep your little ones from running through the homeowners lawns. This will not only protect the homeowners property, but will protect your little one from possible injury from a fall or an unseen object.
?· Use sidewalks and driveways, try to stay out of the street. We have some residents that ignore our 15mph speed limit and there will be others obtaining access that do not normally drive our streets.
?· Use individually wrapped candies and treats. Homemade items are great, but most parents throw them away for safety reasons.
?· Have your child carry or wear a reflective item or light.
?· Have a large bag for candy, small containers often spill and candy gets lost along the way.
Have a Safe and Happy Halloween from the Social Committee!
