MEETING RECAP

I. Welcome/Introductions
Number of residents that attended: Approx. 25

II. Old Business
 Handout July 5 PPCA minutes.
 Tussing Area Coalition (T.A.C.) Update by Melinda Alic – Traffic light to be installed at Hines Rd. and Tussing Rd (scheduled date- 6 months).
 Widening of Hines Rd. and Tussing Rd. By 2001, TAC trying to get city to move date up.
 CHP has not broke ground on Tussing Rd. Site.

 Executive committee held a meeting at Melinda Alic’s to discuss the installation of a pool at the Weigel’s residence; we asked them to refer to their deeds and to please follow them.

III. New Business
1. Jay Barnes, Treasurer, reported;
 We have no money, no dues to date
 He has prepared a budget for PPCA.
2. Melinda Alic distributed copies of bylaws for members to review as she read;
 PPCA voted to become non-profit – majority vote.
 A change needs to be made to the township that Park Place resides; we are in Montgomery Township, not Violet Township.
 Dues – Number of votes per household. Phillip Calogero addressed issue, members vote- 18 voted for 2 members per household, 3 voted for 1 vote per household.
 Age of household member to vote – Majority voted to have 21 years old to vote on PPCA matters.
 Terms of Office for 1 year- passed by majority.
 Melinda asked if anyone had anymore issues regarding bylaws.
 Melinda calls for vote on adopting bylaws – majority.
3. Melinda Alic goes over the committees and asked for volunteers.
 Architectural Review Committee – for lots 1 through 94, no one from that area, will save for later date.
 Traffic and Safety Committee – Sue Focarett, Kim Ference, Mike Fisher, Bob and Doris Griffin.
 Neighborhood Beautification Committee – Brenda Fisher, Gina Castle, Sharon Doughty, Diana McDonald, Roger Brown and Donna McGue.
 Welcome Wagon Committee– Katie Brummett, Fay Johnson, Brenda Fisher, Julie Lamb and Veronica Rehm.
 Deeds Committee– Ellen Paulus, Melinda Combs, and Greg Hessler.
 TAC – Ellen Paulus, need one more member.
 Blockwatch Committee – Ann Chenetski, Bob Lamb, Joyce Adams, Mike Fisher, Donna McGue, Matt Alic and Donna McDonald.
 Activity Committee – Katie Brummett, Donna McGue, Diana McDonald, Brenda Fisher, Norma Henderson, MaryAnn Miller and Cindy Doyle.
 Audit Committee – Under investigation.
 Newsletter Committee – Joyce Adams, Ann Chenetski, and Melinda Combs.

4. Newsletter Committee will convene to figure the best alternative, frequency, and if advertising will be used to distribute our newsletter.
5. Signs to post our meeting – Roger Brown offered to help make the signs.
6. Suggested September 9th as next meeting date, majority vote for September 9th.

III. Closing Remarks, Comments, & Suggestions
 Phillip Calogera suggested having an executive meeting to go over the budget, to help establish the amount of dues.
