Why I Rejoined the Park Timbers Swim & Tennis Club

The Park Timbers Swim & Tennis Club is a very valuable asset to our subdivision. It adds a dimension that is not found in many subdivisions in the area. Moreover, real estate professionals strongly believe that a thriving community club adds value to our homes. Unfortunately, many of us have taken the Club for granted for a number of years. My family and I were members of the Club for the first 5 or so years we lived in Park Timbers. Back then, there was a waiting list to join the Club and the activity level was quite high. However, once we built a pool in our back yard, the need to go to the Club to swim obviously dwindled. Unfortunately, more than a few of us in the subdivision have done the swimming pool thing, with the effect now of fairly limited support for the Club from within Park Timbers.

As a result, the Club needs our help. Out of 355 families residing in Park Timbers, only 28 are current members of the Club. The Club should have and certainly deserves a lot more of our support than that. Thus, I have decided to rejoin the Park Timbers Club. I believe that it is important for us residents to support the Club.
