You?’ve probably seen her running in the subdivision?—pony tail flying in the breeze. She?’s Erin Nolan, De La Salle junior and daughter of Chris and Shelly Nolan. Erin is among the top three distance runners in District 9-5A. Her specialties are the 1600 meters and the 3200 meters. Her personal best for the 1600 meters is 5 minutes and 38 seconds and for the 3200 meters, 12 minutes and 38 seconds. Erin has been running for about 3 years and has made tremendous strides in improving her times. Erin runs cross country for De La Salle and is the school?’s lead runner in both cross country and track. Her goal is to break 12 minutes in the 3200 meters.
Erin is not only an avid runner, but she is also an excellent student maintaining a 4.0 average. She is active in Irish Dancing, is a member of the National Honor Society, and is a member of the school?’s Diplomats. Erin?’s enthusiasm for running has rubbed off on her little sister, Kelly, who runs cross country for St. Andrew the Apostle School.
