I am sure you have all seen the progress so far. I have spoken with Doug Rockne from Arapahoe Parks & Rec and here are the details so far. The planned opening date of the pool is June 1. "Hey that is right around the corner from today" There is a nice baby pool that is 1 1/2 feet deep. The main pool starts at 3 1/2 and goes to 5 1/2 feet deep. It is large and will include laps lanes on one side. There will be plenty of grass and areas to toss out your blanket and enjoy the warmer days coming up. The asphalt for the large parking area will go down in the next few weeks. The land scaping has already begun to be put in but look for the grass and trees this next week or so. The pool itself needs to be coated then water will go in around the 2nd or 3rd week of May. Cost of entrance will be approximately $2 - $3 depending on situations. (Arapahoe county resident, child, senior citizen, etc.) More details about that will be defined closer to opening. This year Araphoe County has opted not to have a season pass. They are unsure of the number of people attending on a daily basis. They will track numbers through out the summer. There will be a limit of swimmers inside the pool area. When the limit has been met, the entrance will be closed until people leave. The walk way and pavilion are ready. They are in the process of putting in several tables for picnics. Please take some time and walk up to see the area. It truly is an asset to the neighborhood and community. Thanks Arapahoe County Parks & Rec for a job well done!!
