2.Grant Proposal:
Karen spoke to Jon Clarke and learned that our grant proposal was selected #1 among all of the submitted grants. Great job Mike and thanks! We need to organize a way to get different jobs started.

A permit needs to be filled out and submitted to the city for the neighborhood sign. Written estimates are required and will need to be submitted to the city. We would like to see Costin in charge of the sign project since Costin is the one that did the work and got estimates for the stone and engraving. Lia will contact Costin to see if he will be willing to do this. Judy, Lia and the Perrys (Rebecca & William) have volunteered to help pick out the stone and the engraving. Plenty of help will be needed for this neighborhood sign project. If you are interested in helping, please contact Lia at 303-772-1096.

We?’ve also learned that the clearing of the brush and undergrowth along the bike path (that runs adjacent to the bowling alley) is considered maintenance and is not eligible for grant monies. The city is willing to help us clear this area out and make it more appealing (and safer) if we can get neighborhood volunteers to help.
