It is important for everyone to know that there is an emergency phone
number on your TX Driver License.

This is something all Texans should be told, especially since it has received
very little publicity.

Your Texas driver license has a phone number on the back, just above the
bar code on the lower left side:

It is 1-800-525-5555
(It's VERY SMALL PRINT, but it IS there.)

This number can be called for emergency assistance on the highway or wherever you might be have trouble while in your car.

A state-sponsored service truck may be sent to you, courtesy of our tax dollars . . .

Or a state trooper may be sent to make sure all is well . . .

If you ever have a problem while in a car, or are ever stranded, call the
number on your driver license for help

Put this number (1-800-525-5555) in your cell phone . . . and
remember – and remind others to remember – that your Texas driver
license gives you a phone number to call in case of emergency.
