I was wondering why are there so many many cars parked on the streets, rather than in the driveways? It makes our neighborhood appear in some areas very neglected. My husband and I have been driving around many other similar neighborhoods, like oak bluff, and there are no cars in the streets. It is also very unsafe and restricts the view of drivers in some areas. Maybe the manager should take a closer look at this problem, if there are 6 or 7 cars in front of a house on a continuous basis, it should be noted and the homeowner should be notified and either park the cars in his garage or his driveway.

I wish I knew a solution
I live in a small (300 homes) community and we have the same problem...it's so bad I have at least one car parked in front of my house daily (and it's NOT mine or a visitor to my home...who's out of luck if I already have my driveway full with other guests.) We also have stray dogs that run loose, and a stray cat that bit me not too long ago.

TOO MANY CARS
I AGREE. I believe the neighborhood by-laws restrict the number of cars per residence to 3. I know of several homes that consistently have 5 or more. I don't mean Mamaw & Papaw are just visiting, either. These are there permanently. I don't mind being lenient, for example, if Uncle Junior has lost his job and needs a place to stay for awhile, but some folks play fast and loose with the rules.

neighborhood appearance
This neighborhood site is vastly under-
used (I see that most of the communications are old), but I am going to keep trying it out to see if there is someone else out there. Yes, I do agree that there are way too many cars parked on the street, detracting from the overall appeal of our neighborhood. I believe according to our Homeowner's Association we are restricted to three cars per household (and single family dwellings also). I don't have a problem with some lee-way (at one time we had two boys, each with their own vehicle), but too many folks are vastly exceeding the limit. By the way, I am very interested in creating interest in this neighborhood site, but don't really know how to go about it, other than publicizing it in the Newsletter. Any suggestions?
