An Update Nov 30
Learned of late from the city that the cited number is a service number rather than a work order number. Originally there were no parking signs at the Scobee Elementary School site of concern here, so the city is making new signs and anticipating being able to re-install them during December. Anyone who learns that they are installed kindly give a call of thanks to 311.

An Update Jan 18
Spoke to Betty (not Betsy, Oct 18 note) again at the City and asked no parking signs also be placed across the street from the newly installed ones in front of Scobee Elementary School by the crosswalks. Service Number 2006006593 was given for this request. Asked given this is a safety matter early attention be given this request. Anyone calling 311 can gain status of this expected new sign installation work as it progresses from initiation to installation, presently no schedule is given, but likely we will see good results, as before, in due time.

An Update July 6, 2006
Learned yesterday when inquiring on status of requested service order to install no parking signs across from Scobee Elementary where there is student foot traffic - no action. Will need to obtain and submit petition signed by all on the street across from the school agreeing to these signs and their restrictions during school hours.

An Update Aug 29
Abutting property owners on east side of Cedar Park across from the school have signed their petition to place no parking signs on that side of the street parallel to those already standing on the west side (on school property). Will submit same to City Traffic Engineering Dept in hopes of early sign installation.
